  • PhD Degree
  • At least three publications in EJL journals rated P*, or at least five publications in EJL journals rated (at least) P, over the last five years (ERIM High Performing Membership)
  • Former ERIM members that continue to be involved in the supervision of an ERIM PhD-candidate are automatically granted ERIM Affiliate membership. 6 The Affiliate membership will typically end when the PhD-candidate graduates.

Tasks

ERIM Affiliate Members are expected to:
  • contribute to the ERIM research programmes
  • collaborate in joint research projects with ERIM Members
  • are available for co-supervision of ERIM PhD students
  • publish in the ERIM Report Series in Management
  • mention their affiliation with ERIM in their publications and cv's

Benefits

ERIM Affiliate Members are entitled to the ERIM Support Programmes, with the exception of the ESP for research visits (ESP 5).

Application and Evaluation Procedure

  • The application for an ERIM Affiliate Membership should be submitted to the Scientific Director of ERIM through one of the ERIM Fellows of the ERIM Research Programme where the Affiliate Member will do his/her research.
  • The Scientific Director decides on the Membership. If the Affiliate Member is accepted, this will be communicated in an official letter to the Fellow who submitted the application, with a copy to the Dean of the School, to the Department Chair and to the new ERIM Affiliate Member.
  • An ERIM Affiliate Member reports his/her output to ERIM. ERIM makes an annual evaluation in March based on the output of the previous five calendar years. If an Affiliate Member has not been able to meet the ERIM Affiliate Membership criteria for two consecutive years, he/she will lose the ERIM Affiliate Membership status.

Footnotes:

6:

In this case it is not necessary that the criteria for “High-Performing Membership” are met, although the publication record of the Affiliate Member should satisfy the requirements for regular ERIM Membership.
