After these two years, their ERIM Associate Membership will only be continued if they do meet the requirements specified above (i.e., after two years at least two relevant publications accepted of which at least one in a journal of the Primary Set of ERIM Journals).
Tasks
Carrying out and disseminating high quality research
Benefits
These are identical to the benefits of an ERIM Member.
Duration
Maximum of 5 years
Application and Evaluation Procedure
-
The application for a new ERIM Associate Membership (including the research proposal, and proof of acceptance of papers if applicable) should be submitted to the Scientific Director of ERIM through one of the ERIM Fellows of the ERIM Research Programme where the Associate Member will do his/her research.
-
The Scientific Director decides on the Associate Membership. If the Associate Member is accepted, this will be communicated to the Fellow who submitted the application in an official letter, with a copy to the Dean of the School, the Department Chair and to the new ERIM Associate Member.
-
The Associate Membership will be converted into a regular ERIM Membership if the number of publications is at least five, with at most three publications in category (2), and at most two publications in category (3) (in line with the criteria for regular Membership). The Associate Member sends in a request for regular membership through one of the ERIM Fellows of his/her ERIM Research Program.
-
An ERIM Associate Member reports his/her output to ERIM (typically by means of registering his/her output in the MyERIM Publication system). An ERIM Associate Member only retains this status if he/she is still meeting the ERIM Associate Membership criteria. This will be checked annually.
