Applicants
PhD recipients with academic potential, ambition and interest in one of ERIM´s research fields are invited to apply. Applicants should have obtained their PhD degree less than five years ago.
Postdoctoral Fellows are internationally oriented and involved in academic collaborations and the influx of new knowledge and new ideas into ERIM. They bring in new expertise and are able to implement novel research techniques quickly, in this way creating new academic opportunities for other ERIM researchers. In order to stimulate the international exchange within ERIM, international applicants with a PhD degree from an other university than the Erasmus University are preferred. Candidates who do not have their PhD degree yet, but are expected to earn it in the next few months, are also welcome to apply.
Applications
Applications should consist of a personal research proposal, a recent CV, three letters of recommendation and two examples of scholarly writing. Writing examples should not exceed 25 pages and each example should be directly related to the thesis.
A proposal contains:
- professional strengths and research interests
- content and (methodological) areas to develop
- projects of interest
- other research topics to explore
This proposal should be no longer than four pages (approximately 2000 words). Prior to writing a personal research proposal, candidates may wish to contact a Fellow of the relevant ERIM research programmes, in order to attune the research proposal to the other research activities within the programmes.
