Steef van de Velde (1960) is a professor of Operations Management & Technology and the vice-dean of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He holds an MSc (1985) in Econometrics from Erasmus School of Economics and a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from Eindhoven University of Technology. His research interests lie in the area of operations excellence, service operations, and supply chain management. He has published in such journals as Management Science, California Management Review, Operations Research, Mathematical Programming, INFORMS Journal on Computing, IIE Transactions, Journal of Scheduling.
