Alexander Hogenboom holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Science degree in Economics and Informatics. In general, his research interests include the utilization of methods and techniques from informatics for facilitating or supporting decision making processes. More specifically, Alexander is interested in (applications in economics of) agent-based systems, the Semantic Web, query optimization, and natural language processing. In his current research at Erasmus Studio, Alexander combines some of his research interests in a project on argumentation discovery in economics literature, focusing on advancing economic trend mining using argumentation structures.
