BINT Workshop with Geoffrey Jones On Tuesday 24 April 2012 business historian Geoffrey Jones will be in Utrecht to discuss future developments in business history. Jones is Isidor Straus Professor of Business History at the Harvard Business School and has written extensively on the rise of global business.

Prize for Schenk at Smart Port poster session On March 6th, 2012, 5 PhD-students from Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication presented their research at a poster session of Erasmus Smart Port Rotterdam. The event, co-hosted by the Port Research Centre of Delft Technical University, consisted of some 40 posters presenting port-related research by young scholars from 6 universities in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Marten Boon receives German grant for research in Germany Marten Boon MA, phd student at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication has been awarded a grant by the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD). With this grant, Boon will conduct two months of archival research in several German company archives.

Ben Wubs invited by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Japan Society for the Promotion of Science has decided to approve the application of Prof.dr. Takafumi Kurosawa (Kyoto University), and to invite Dr. Ben Wubs to Japan under the Fellowship Programme for Research in Japan (Short Term) to conduct research with his host researcher for a period of 17 consecutive days.
