Opening entrepreneurship programme HOPE. Making students entrepreneurial On Wednesday 12 November 2008 the entrepreneurship programme HOPE started (the Holland Program on Entrepreneurship, called HOPE). HOPE is a joint initiative of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the TU Delft and Leiden University to stimulate an entrepreneurial culture at the three universities. During the festive opening in the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam a large network of students, academicians and entrepreneurs was formed. The aim of HOPE is to create awareness at the universities; students should be aware that entrepreneurship is possible both as independent entrepreneur and as entrepreneurial employee within a company. The universities want give the employees and students room to innovate, to come up with fresh ideas and to exploit opportunities. Therefore, they gave the go ahead for making entrepreneurship an important component in the regular programme for a total of 50,000 students.
