This platform for Entrepreneurship is initiated by the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), the Erasmus Research Institute for Management (ERIM) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the research institute EIM Business and Policy Research in Zoetermeer. The purpose of the platform is to unite researchers and organizations working on entrepreneurial issues. It spans various departments and schools that conduct research or provide education in this domain. The platform is open to all interested (inter)national researchers and aims to stimulate cooperation between researchers and practitioners as well as to provide them with relevant information. It has been established to create synergies, and to further research and education in the field of entrepreneurship.

The main purpose of this site is to be a means of communication and a source of information for several target groups. As research on entrepreneurship is scattered all over the world, this platform aims at bringing together all relevant information concerning the topic of entrepreneurship on one site.  It is targeted at both academic and business audiences. Through this website we want to communicate with external partners and practitioners who are in need of more information or who want to het into contact with experts in the field. The website is also a portal for other researchers in order to stay informed of what their fellow colleagues and researchers are doing. Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as an important domain for research and education. Research in this field is very important because of the essential role of the entrepreneur in the economic and social environment. That is why this portal is ofcourse for students. Some students are very locked-in into their own field of study and with this website we want to open up new horizons for them and create new ideas.
