Key themes

Team Leadership – Leadership of Diversity Leadership training and development efforts often prioritize leaders’ ability to mobilize and motivate followers. Whereas this is indeed important, it typically overlooks another critical leadership role: leading teams to realize synergy through collaborative efforts that mobilize the unique contributions of diverse team members.
Identity-Based Leadership An important function of leadership is to build a sense of team or organizational identity – to develop a sense of ‘we’ and inclusion among employees. Leadership that is able to build and connect with this identity is more effective in mobilizing and motivating employees.
The Dark Side of Leadership Leadership may accomplish wonderful things, but it can also dramatically derail. Self-serving and unethical behavior of organizational leadership is a recurring theme in media around the world and there is growing awareness that there is a ‘dark side’ to leadership that is very problematic indeed.
Servant Leadership In view of the current demand for a more ethical, people-centered management, servant leadership may very well be what organizations need now.
Leading towards creativity and innovation The potential for continuous innovation increasingly lies at the core of a sustainable competitive advantage for many organizations, and employee creativity is the key building block in innovation.
