Dr. Niels van Quaquebeke holds a postdoctoral ERIM research fellowship at the Rotterdam School of Management. He is a member of the Personnel and Organization Management Department and the Erasmus Centre for Leadership Studies. Likewise, he functions as the director of the interdisciplinary RespectResearchGroup. Niels specializes in leadership research with a particular focus on values and respect. More specifically, he investigates the logic by which respect functions as a lubricant for social systems. He was awarded repeated scholarships by the German National Academic Foundation as well as an award by the German government for the innovative approach of his research group. His work has been sponsored with more than 200.000 Euro from varying funding organizations and is frequently recognized in the public media.
