What events does SBNi provide SBNi members?
In general the initiative organizes the following events:
PhD research projects
To develop the new business paradigm we execute business driven PhD research projects. These PhD projects are formulated and sponsored by our business members. Highly talented students execute these projects.
BE smart sessions
Periodically every business member will review the research progress and the implications for the organization during so called BE smart sessions. During the year, several BE smart sessions will be hosted, typically at the business members’ site.
Discovery Sessions
Annually a discovery session will be organized. The objective is to bring together the SBNi members, and selected potential members for intense communication, review and assessment of research directions. The session will take over two days.
Research Manifesto Sessions
Within the SBNi platform, the research capabilities of top universities are bundled with the practical threats and opportunities companies are faced with. Based on the partner universities' and companies' input a research manifesto will be maintained which links practical problems with scientific research directions. Furthermore the research manfesto provides direction for the SBNi Ph.D projects.
