Nov. 8, 2010: Sustainable Innovation 2010
Part of the 'Towards Sustainable Product Design' series of conferences Sustainable Innovation 2010 will provide a platform to discuss the future opportunities and challenges related to the design, development and commercialisation of sustainable products, services, technologies and new business models. Sustainable Innovation 2010 will include invited and refereed papers from academics, consultants, entrepreneurs, investors, technology providers, designers, sustainability, environment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) managers as well as other business functions. The event will be a unique learning experience, networking space and an opportunity to think! Delegates will come globally from large companies, entrepreneurs, as well as academia, government and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Sept. 29, 2010: Deltas in Times of Climate Change conference
From September 29 to October 1, 2010, the “Deltas in Times of Climate Change” conference will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The conference is the joint initiative of two Dutch research programmes on climate change and spatial planning: Climate changes Spatial Planning and Knowledge for Climate. The City of Rotterdam has offered to be the host for the conference. Scientists, politicians, policymakers and practitioners are invited to share their experience.

May 12, 2010: Second Annual ARCS Research Conference
This Harvard Business School conference seeks to bring together scholars from a variety of disciplinary and methodological perspectives interested in advancing research on corporate sustainability. This is the second annual conference of the Alliance for research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS), a consortium of universities that provides data, tools, and networking opportunities to researchers who are developing a greater understanding of the opportunities and limits of policies and strategies to create sustainable businesses. This conference builds on the successful inaugural ARCS conference at the University of Michigan last spring.

On April 24th, MIT will host the first ever MIT Sustainability Summit: Discovering New Dimensions for Growth. The summit aims to bring together students, academics, business leaders, engineers, environmental activists and public servants to discuss how we can most effectively support each other as we face the opportunities and challenges of transitioning to a sustainable world.

Taking up the Global Challenge: 15th Annual International Sustainability Development Research Conference, July 5-8, 2009
On July 5-9, 2009, 15th Annual International Sustainability Development Research Conference will take place in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Organized by the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS), the Conference motto is "Taking up the Global Challenge: Analysing the implementation of innovations and governance for sustainable development". It focuses on five themes; Sustainability Science: determining the need for transitions & assessing progress and trends, Climate Change and Energy, Sustainable Land Use, Innovation for Sustainable Production and Consumption, and Governance for Sustainable Development.

Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges and Decisions
Carien de Jonge, PhD candidate at EUR presents her paper at a scientific congress on climate change on 10-12 March 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The congress took place in the run-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in November-December 2009.
