On Thursday 13 June 2013 Suzana Rodrigues, Professor of International Business and Organisation, presented her farewell address entitled ‘Understanding the Environments of Emerging Markets: The Social Costs of Institutional Voids’.
Erasmus Centre for Emerging Markets
The remarkable economic growth of emerging markets such Brazil, Russia, India and China, and the fact that Business Schools know little about the management and organizational developments in these countries, creates an opportunity for a forum for knowledge sharing and diffusion on international business related to emerging markets.
This international workshop aims to combine the insights and findings from the two previous workshops on institutional voids and state re-scaling respectively. The goal is to look at the crisscrossing between these two frontiers of research so as to generate new research questions and scholarly agenda.
Brazilian scholar Artur Jacobus is visiting RSM. Jacobus is a doctoral candidate in Business Administration at Unisinos (Brazil) and conducts research on the development of the Brazilian software industry through a coevolutionary perspective.
