Costs & Financial Support
The academic year of the two-year Research Master in Business and Management starts each September. It’s a full-time programme, making it necessary that you live in the Rotterdam area.
The 2017-2018 tuition fee for the ERIM Research Master is €2,006 per year if you’re from the European Economic Area (EU-countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). If you’re a non-EEA student, the tuition fee is €17,300 per year.
If you’re amongst the highest performing non-EU candidates, you may be offered a tuition fee waiver: in this case you would only need to pay the reduced fee of €2,006 per year.
Living expenses & financial support
Compared to other countries, your living expenses can be high in the Netherlands. The estimated cost of living in the Netherlands for most students is around € 10,000 per year.
ERIM offers a limited number of subsistence allowances to its very best applicants. The subsistence allowance amounts either € 5,000 or € 10,000. Decisions on the subsistence allowances are made after the application deadline.
ERIM also offers a reduced tuition fee to several excellent non-EEA students. This means that instead of paying a tuition fee of €17,300 per year, you would have to pay €2,006. The decision on granting the reduced fee is made after you’ve been accepted into the programme.
If you would like to apply for the above mentioned financial support, you have to submit a motivation letter with the rest of your online application package.
In your second year as an ERIM Research Master student, you can apply for the Personal Research Assistantship (PRA). The PRA supports you financially and allows you to work closely with ERIM’s best researchers.
