Flavius Frasincar is assistant professor economics & informatics and is affiliated with the Econometric Institute of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is senior editor of Decision Support Systems (DSS) and member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Web Engineering and Technology (IJWET).

He does research at the confluence between economics and informatics. In particular he studies the application of information systems and artificial intelligence for the development of smart decision support systems.
