Finding Entrepreneurial Genes: Huge Datasets and Multiple Testing

Speaker

Abstract

You all know these famous entrepreneurs that just don't fit in a company as a wage-worker. Indeed, recent research shows that the choice to become an entrepreneur is partly heritable. Can we find the genetics variants underlying these heritability estimates? We present results from the large-scale international collaboration effort of the Gentrepreneur Consortium. The statistical challenges we faced are important to keep in mind when working with huge datasets.
