Abstract

Ivan Indriawan is an AUT graduate. He completed his Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance and Economics with AUT University. Aspired to do more exciting work for career, he continued to pursue an Honours qualification specialising in Finance. Upon graduation, he worked as a Credit Risk Scoring Analyst for Citibank in Jakarta, Indonesia. His thirst for knowledge has brought him back into doing doctoral studies with AUT University under his former Honours supervisor, Prof. Bart Frijns, and Prof Alireza Tourani-Rad. His proposed doctoral thesis combines a focus on macroeconomic news announcements and underlying market microstructure theory that drives prices of stocks listed in multiple markets. Ivan was a recipient of 2012 University Graduate Assistantship Award and University Vice-Chancellor Doctoral Scholarship Award 2012.
