Stefano Tasseli is one of '40 under 40' worldwide


Dr Stefano Tasselli, ERIM Member and Assistant Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) was named one of the world’s 40 most inspiring business school professors under 40 on 23 April by Poets&Quants, a website devoted to coverage of business schools.

Each year, Poets&Quants selects The 40 Most Outstanding MBA Professors Under 40 based on excellence and impact in research, combined with outstanding teaching prowess, according to their peers and students. According to the publication, “MBAs and PhD candidates rave about Stefano’s down-to-earth teaching style that’s charismatic, passionate, and packed with captivating storytelling, and real-life examples that make the material come to life and easier to grasp. Consistently receiving high scores for student evaluations, students often cite their appreciation for his inclusive classroom where everyone is engaged and feels comfortable posing any question.”

Abundant contributions

Further comments state: “both inside and outside of class, Stefano is known to always make time for students. In the world of academia, Tasselli’s mark is equally felt. He’s described as a top-notch scholar, having published in word-leading journals such as the Academy of Management Journal and Organization Studies. He’s been awarded numerous best paper awards, innovative teaching awards, and even an Alumnus of the Month award by his University of Cambridge, Wolfson College alma mater for the abundant contributions to his field of study.”

Successful teaching environment

About Stefano Tasselli

Stefano Tasselli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology and Operations at RSM. He holds a PhD from the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge. His research and teaching focus is on the interplay between psychological and relational antecedents of organisational functioning, including the analysis of the psychological micro-foundations (personality, motivation, and cognition) of organisational social networks; social networks, knowledge transfer and innovation; and organisational theory. He is currently teaching 'Social Networks and Leadership' in the International Full-time MBA programme, and post-graduate and executive modules on 'Organisation of Innovation' and on 'New Business Development'.
