Information

In today’s world the scale of outsourcing and offshoring of IT and business processes is unprecedented. The global outsourcing market for IT and business processes, which respectively exceeded $270 billion and $165 billion in 2010, have grown by 7% per annum in the last four years. One implication of this is that there is a huge demand for professionals having an understanding of how to manage the outsourcing and offshoring of parts of firms’ value chain in industries as diverse as aeronautical, banking, manufacturing and retail. Students attending this very lively and hands-on elective will have opportunity for not only developing understanding through case-based analysis, but also through the execution of a real offshoring project that develops a web-based or a smartphone-based application.
