Melek Akin wins NEVI InkoopScriptieprijs 2008


The NEVI InkoopScriptieprijs 2008 has been awarded to Melek Akin for her master thesis, entitled ´The Impact of Supply Chain Related Factors on the Environmental Performance of Firms’. Melek Akin wrote her master thesis as part of the MScBA Supply Chain Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. She graduated in August 2008: her Master thesis coach was Dr. Jacqueline Bloemhof, and her co-reader was Prof. Finn Wynstra. Melek has received the Award on November 28, in the World Trade Center in Rotterdam during the general meeting of the NEVI members. The price consists of a certificate, a sum of money and a paper based on her thesis in the journal Deal. Melek Akin started as PhD student in the ERIM-LIS Research Programme in October 2008. Her promotors are Prof. Finn Wynstra and Dr. Erik van Raaij. Her PhD project is on buyer-supplier interaction in new service development.
