Meeting: Revisioning OD initiative, Gervase Bushe

Speaker

Abstract

Thursday September 13th Gervase Bushe will visit our school to discuss his “Revisioning Organizational Development” initiative. Gervase Bushe is Professor of leadership and Organization Development at Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. He is an active member of the Organization Development & Change division at the AoM and has published widely in the area of change management with a specific interest in the development of Organization Development. He is well-known for his seminal contributions in the field of Appreciative Inquiry.

Gervase is setting up a network of researchers to develop a data-base of innovative approaches in the field of Organization Development & Change Management. The starting point for the research project is that that Organization Development is not replaced by more design oriented approaches (as for example argued by Palmer & Dunford), but that the field of OD is changing substantially and that these developments require more rigorous academic attention.

The meeting is not a seminar, but an interactive discussion of the research project. Should you want to participate, please contact Bas Koene at bkoene@rsm.nl .
