Westland Kaas is the 'Family Business of the Year 2014'

The Family Business Award is an annual prize to bring more attention to family business. It is awarded by the Stichting Familie Onderneming (Foundation Family Business). Prime Minister Mark Rutte awarded the prize to Westland Kaas on april 16th during a ceremony in De Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague.

The jury concluded: "Westland Kaas is characterized by excellent governance and an exceptional combination of family, ownership, governance and control." Westland Kaas is the second winner of the award after its inception in 2013 when Gassan Diamonds won the first edition.

Four finalists were chosen out of a selection of 500 companies: Breman Installatiegroep, Nijhof-Wassink Groep, Royal Agio Cigars and Westland Kaas.
