Smart Port Community Lunch Meeting, Tuesday 26 February at 12.00 hours in T03-42

In our Smart Port lunch seminar of Tuesday February 26 [12:00 hours in T03-42], Walter Manshanden of TNO, will give a presentation of his research on the port of Rotterdam and the broader Randstad region.

Walter Manshanden is one of the leading researchers in the Netherlands in the field of regional-economic analysis, port systems and urban strategies. In addition, he has strong opinions on the growth potential of the Randstad region, the port of Rotterdam and other important logistics hubs like Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the seaport of Amsterdam—especially seen from the perspective of competing regions.

Because of co-operation in the theme Mainport and Metropolis between the universities of Leiden, Delft and Erasmus, his opinion on ports and global city regions is very relevant.

We cooperate on a regular basis with Walter Manshanden, for instance in research on the future of the Dutch Mainports (2030). Currently we are cooperating with Walter in a research project on port-city relations in Rotterdam for the City of Rotterdam.

This lecture therefore is highly recommended!
