Mirre Stallen writes in VK Banen about the mechanisms of choice, reporting on a recent study from UCL and CaltTech which shows how choosing an option actually reinforce the value attributed to it. A complementary result of the study is to show that the activation in the caudate nucleus actually reflects the choice that will be later performed by the subject.
