Application Procedure

The Research Master programme is in the process of closing down, so there will be no 2022 Fall Intake!

 

Required Documents

You will only be considered if you provide us with all the required documents.

The overview below indicates which documents need to be submitted.

To apply to the Research Master in Business and Management, you should submit:

1. Completed ERIM Research Master Application Form  X  
2. Your résumé (CV) in English, including all personal data X  
3. Certified copies of all of your academic diplomas in the original language (certified copies should bear the original sign and original seal of the issuing office.). If you’re still in process of completing your current degree programme and don’t have a diploma yet, you’ll need to provide it as soon as it’s available. X  
4. A certified translation of your diplomas in English or Dutch (if applicable). If a translation is not available from the issuing office, a translation bearing the original sign of the sworn translator will be accepted. X  
5. An original or certified copy of all of your full transcripts (lists of grades) in the original language (certified copies should bear the original sign and original seal of the issuing office). If you’re still in the process of completing your current degree programme and don’t have a final list of grades yet, you will need to provide a preliminary grade list first. It should be an official document issued or verified by your registrar’s office or examination administration. It shouldn’t be older that one month old at the moment of application. If you submit a preliminary grade list, you’ll still need to provide the official one as soon as it’s available. X  
6. A certified translation of your transcripts in English or Dutch (if applicable). If a translation isn’t available from the issuing office, a translation bearing the original sign of the sworn translator will be accepted. X  
7. Your letter of motivation X  
8. Two academic letters of recommendation (business letters of recommendation cannot replace the academic letters of recommendation). There is no special format for the letters of recommendation. You will specify the email addresses of the referees in the online application form. They’ll be invited by ERIM to submit their letter of recommendation. Incorporated in the application form  
9. Original GMAT or GRE test score (see Test Information) X  
10. Original TOEFL or IELTS test score (see Test Information). Chinese applicants are requested to provide an IELTS score or TOEFL internet-based score (part of the NUFFIC requirements; see information below) X  
11. Please note that if you’re a Chinese citizen, additional criteria apply. In order to request a visa for the Netherlands Chinese students need to present a so-called 'Nuffic certificate'. This is a document that provides an assessment of your English language proficiency and of the validity of your diplomas and degrees. You can obtain this certificate from the Nuffic No  

Note: Certified document copies should bear the original sign and original seal of the issuing office. If a translation of the document is not available from the office, a translation bearing the original sign and seal of a sworn translator will be accepted.

Only applications with all the necessary documents enclosed will be considered.

Official documents included in your application package will not be returned and become the property of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

When you’ve collected all the required documents, you’ll need to complete the online ERIM Research Master Application form and send it together with the required documents to: researchmaster@erim.eur.nl

The application deadline for the programme starting in September 2021 is 1 April 2021 for all applicants
