Abstract

The Academic Chair ‘Cradle to Cradle for Innovation and Quality’ will organize the next Cradle to Cradle® (C2C®) Seminar at Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). The seminar will take place on Monday October 29st 2012 from 9:00 – 16:45 hours in the Forumzaal at Campus Woudestein in the M-building (map). The topic of this Seminar will be:
Cradle to Cradle® Practical Applications in Area Development.
At this event the possibilities and changes of Cradle to Cradle on the scale of Area Development will be discussed by prof. dr. Michael Braungart and various other speakers with academic and/or business backgrounds.

Marleen Lodder (PhD candidate Academic Chair ‘Cradle to Cradle for Innovation and Quality’, RSM) will be the contact person for practical questions via mlodder@rsm.nl.

Goals:
1. Present knowledge of the three Professorships of prof. dr. Michael Braungart in The Netherlands regarding the Built Environment;

2. Integrate innovation in quality in Academic research with Business experience on Cradle to Cradle in Area Development projects;

3. Strengthen the partnership between the worlds of students-, academics- and businesses by focusing on the practical application and potential involvement for the members of Stichting Rotterdam Sustainability Initiative who support the Chair.

Background information:
Since 2009 prof. dr. Michael Braungart has held the academic chair at the Erasmus University Rotterdam “Cradle to Cradle for Innovation and Quality” which is currently based at the Rotterdam School of Management. At the University of Twente the professorship “Cradle to Cradle in Industrial Design Engineering” was established in 2010. As of January 2011, prof. dr. Michael Braungart is a visiting professor of Building Design Technology at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft.
