Double Seminar in Logistics: Relations Between Maritime Affairs and Maritime Logistics
Abstract
Within this presentation relations between maritime affairs and maritime logistics are described, explained und designed. Maritime affairs are logistics driven. The quality of the design and operation of this relation is most important for the regional and European development. For example maritime logistics influences maritime affairs in line with the strategic planning and optimisation of gate functions, the business processes organisation of value chains and the development of transhipment, distribution and bundling management. Maritime affairs influences maritime logistics as for example in connection with the supply chains food, offshore energy and automotive. Taking into account that maritime regions are changing, related innovation clusters based on cooperation and knowledge management ensure the sustainability of their developments over time.
