Honorary Doctorates Professor Sir Clive Granger and Professor Arnold Zellner



Abstract

On June 15, Professor Sir Clive Granger (University of California at San Diego), Nobel laureate of 2003, and Professor Arnold Zellner (Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago) will receive an honorary doctorate in economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

  • Professor Sir Granger receives the honorary doctorate for his fundamental contributions to the specification of dynamic econometric models. His research substantially improved the quality of economic forecasts. Honorary promotor is professor Philip Hans Franses.

 

  • Professor Zellner receives the honorary doctorate for his contributions to the econometric analysis of dynamic economic models, especially his contribution to Bayesian econometric analysis. Honorary promotor is professor Herman van Dijk
