Unique ERIM Highly Distinguished Promotor Awards

On December 15, before moving to the traditional ERIM awards at the <link erim news _blank>ERIM Awards Ceremony, Rector Magnificus Professor Henk Schmidt asked the attention for two of ERIM's senior colleagues that achieved a milestone in their career. Both Professors <link people philip-hans-franses _blank>Philip Hans Franses and <link people rommert-dekker _blank>Rommert Dekker have delivered their 25^th PhD earlier this year.

For this very special occasion, ERIM has created a unique honour award: the ERIM Praeceptor Doctorum Celeberrimus Award (in English: 'Highly Distinguished ERIM Promotor'). This award is made for an ERIM Promotor who has delivered 25 PhDs as a career achievement. The award is entirely written in Latin.

ERIM would like to compliment and congratulate both Philip Hans and Rommert with this achievement.
