Open Data Services: Research Agenda

Speaker

Abstract

Open data promises an increased availability of previously private, mostly governmental, datasets for service development. However, research on the topic is only starting to surface. In this talk I present an article that proposes a research agenda for open data service research. Paper reviews earlier relevant literature to extrapolate open data as a phenomenon from the perspective of the information systems field. Based on a classification of research challenges, paper builds a research agenda, and outlines a set of research questions. Paper contribute to the discussion on future avenues for research on open data in IS and beyond.

This seminar is organised by the Erasmus Centre for Future Energy Business.
